Read names, shift start, and shift end times.

Edit extracted rows, check duplicate warnings, and assign Role / Area.

Import

Save shifts with 1st break, lunch, and 2nd break still blank.

Generate

Press Auto Generate Breaks only when the leader is ready.

Break Rules

Generate a plan based on shift length and coverage.

The current scheduling logic uses explicit break thresholds and attempts to reduce unnecessary overlap while considering how many people are on the schedule.

4 TO <6 HOURS

One 15-minute break

Shorter eligible shifts receive one 15-minute rest break.

6 TO <7.5 HOURS

One 15 + one 30

These shifts receive one 15-minute break and one 30-minute lunch.

7.5+ HOURS

Two 15s + one 30

Longer shifts receive the full structure of two 15-minute breaks and one 30-minute lunch.

Control First

Importing a shift does not create breaks.

Manual entry and schedule scan import both preserve the leader's control. Breaks and lunches remain blank until Auto Generate Breaks is deliberately pressed.

Coverage Aware

Avoid unnecessary overlap.

The generator considers the scheduled team and attempts to spread breaks and lunches so coverage is maintained when staffing allows.
